- OSD Device is meant to detect speed of the locomotive and output audio(hooter)-visual(lamp) warnings as per the guidelines published in the RDSO specification no. WD-29-MISC-14. The specifications (covered in WD-29-MISC-14) lay down technical requirements for electronic in motion weighbridge suitable for weighing speeds up to 15kmph.
- If the train speed is detected to be above 15km/h, the OSD device shall turn on hooter and toggle the lamp. If the train speed is detected to be below 15km/h, the OSD device shall turn off the hooter while ensuring the lamp is on.
- This system is designed with reverse polarity and over voltage protection and includes interface design to connect four track switches for axle detection.
- A power led and a set of on board led’s are provided for sensors status indication and controller output pulse indication. Also, connectors are provided to connect panel led’s.
